Senior Accounts Manager.

We are looking for someone with leadership, management and strong interpersonal skills, in addition to proven experience in all aspects of account management.

Location.
  • Chennai.
Responsibilities and duties.
  • Overseeing all accounts and ledgers, verifying invoices and vendor bills, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the financial status.
  • Administering and reviewing all financial plans and comparing actual results to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Interacts at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient, and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual reports.
  • Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in the chart of accounts, accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements, and review classification and booking of all transactions.
  • Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and study regulations and guidance to ensure the correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Prepare and review detailed journal entries and account analyses.
  • Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns.
  • Work with Audit, Tax and Treasury Manager to ensure overall coordination of all financial accounting activities through annual reports.
  • Prepare summary feedback of financial statement variances to budget.
  • Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll protocols to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments).
  • Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments)
Experience and qualifications.
  • Minimum of 8 – 12 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Masters in Commerce or MBA with Finance specialization.

  • Leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Assistant Account Manager, or in a relevant role.
  • A demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and investment accounting.
